According to a contributor called Alan K. who has corresponded with me regularly about many Ozzie songs, Frankie Davidson was informed about this site posting. Frankie then told Alan to tell me that his hit "Have You Ever Been To Kings Cross" was on three C.D.'s:
1 I've Been Everywhere
2 Toss Another Shrimp On The Barbie
3 The Entertainer In Action
Frankie is chuffed to know that people still regard his work in high esteem.
I remember the Moonee Ponds Town Hall in Melbourne in the 50's. There was Max Bostock's band, and singers Dorothy Baker, Norman Erskine, Frankie Davidson, Ron Lees. In those days it was compulsory to go to the Moonee Ponds Town Hall on Saturday nights, and Zigfield's in Hawthorn on Thursday nights. All the good sorts used to go to both these places.
