DOWNLOAD NO.77 - THE MONITORS

THE MONITORS WERE FROM BRISBANE. THEY CAME AND WENT QUICKLY IN THE POP WORLD BUT THEIR 2 SINGLES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PARTY FAVOURITES.

THEY DIDN'T MAKE TOO MANY APPEARANCES ON T.V. BECAUSE IN REALITY THEY WERE A STUDIO GROUP WHO HAD FACES BEST SUITED FOR RADIO.

RICKY FATAAR, TERRY MCCARTHY AND MARK MOFFAT WERE THE TRIO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ALBUM.

RICKY HAS WORKED WITH MANY INTERNATIONAL ACTS AND IS BEST KNOWN AS A DRUMMER. MARK MOFFAT HAS HAD A STELLAR OZ MUSIC CAREER. HIS SOLO ALBUMS ARE STILL SELLING WELL.

THE BLAKENEY TWINS (AT THE TIME POPULAR TEEN ACTORS) WERE USED IN THE MONITOR'S FILM CLIPS BUT THEY WERE THERE FOR VISUALS ONLY THEY DIDN'T SING ON THE ALBUM. VANETTA FIELDS DID THE BACKING VOCALS ALONG WITH RENEE GEYER AND SHARON O'NEILL. THE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT HAS THE ALBUM CREDITS.

THE DOWNLOAD IS A MEDLEY OF BOTH TOP 40 SINGLES JOINED: "SINGING IN THE 80s" AND "NOBODY TOLD ME".

ENJOY!
