WE HAD A LOT OF INTERESTING BANDS IN NEWCASTLE N.S.W. ONE OF THEM WAS THE BEACHCOMBERS. THEY WERE NAMED AFTER A LOCAL HOTEL WHERE THEY PLAYED AND IN SOME CASES, WHEN NEEDED THEY WERE FINANCED BY THE OWNER OF THE HOTEL.
THEY HAD 3 SINGLES AND 1 ALBUM:
45s:
1: Sing My Song / Gone Gone Gone (RCA Australia) (1970)
2: Song For Happy (RCA Australia) (1974)
3: Cruisin' (RCA Australia) (1975)
ALBUM: The Beachcombers (RCA Australia) (1975)
THE SINGLE WHICH STARTED THEIR RUN HAD A "B" SIDE WHICH CHARTED EQUALLY AS WELL AS THE "A" SIDE.
HERE IS THE ULTRA RARE "B" SIDE "GONE GONE GONE".

ReplyDeleteThey had a great sound & the vocals that Robyn produced were beautiful.
