DOWNLOAD NO.39 - WENDY AND THE ROCKETTS

WENDY AND THE ROCKETTS (LEAD SINGER WENDY STAPLETON) HAD VARIOUS CHART SINGLES IN THE 1980S. "PLAY THE GAME" WAS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST HIT SINGLE.

AS FAR AS I KNOW THE 12" REMIX HAS NOT BEEN ON C.D. I DON'T RECALL IT GETTING MUCH PROMOTION EVEN IN ITS DAY.

THE 12" WAS MADE TO RUN AT A FASTER PACE THAN THE 7" SINGLE AND IT WAS ALMOST COMICAL BECAUSE OF THE FASTER B.P.M. THE BASS WAS REDUCED AND SOUNDED WEAKER THAN THE 7" SINGLE MIX AS WELL....NOT THE BEST WAY TO DO A 12" MIX REALLY...!

WENDY NOT ONLY WAS A TALENTED OZ SINGER BUT SHE ALSO APPEARED ON "NEIGHBOURS" AS A LOVE INTEREST FOR TOM OLIVER'S CHARACTER...

OVER THE YEARS WENDY HAS CONTINUED TO PERFORM AND WAS PART OF THE "COUNTDOWN SPECTACULAR" AND REGULARLY DOES SMALLER VENUES AND CLUBS. AT ONE STAGE SHE HAD A GIG WORKING WITH DEBBIE BYRNE.

THIS IS THE TOM MIX REMIX OF THE ORIGINAL 12"...MORE BASS AND SLOWER PACE...

ENJOY !
