Rabbit was a short-lived Australian hard rock band from Newcastle, Australia. They looked like "The Sweet" but had a raunchier sound. They tried to crack the bigger markets and their company CBS did do a lot of promotion but sadly it didn't work at the time.
The band was formed in 1973 by Mark Tinson (guitar), Phil Screen (drums) and Jim Porteus (bass). Original vocalist Greg Douglas was replaced in 1974 by Dave Evans, formerly of AC/DC. Dave recorded the first couple of singles for AC/DC but was replaced by Bon Scott.
Rabbit's "Lady La Di Da" was a glam rock single that made the Top 5 in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. It still sounds pretty good after all these years but my converted vinyl doesn't do it justice.
This download is the single edit of "Lady La Di Da":
