A RARE SONG FROM THE VAULT "HALF HEAVEN, HALF HEARTACHE" BY HALF JOHN FARNHAM AND HALF ZOOT.
THESE ACTS ARE NOT OBSCURE BUT THIS LITTLE GEM IS NOT ON C.D., WHY?

FARNSY IS TILL GOING STRONG AND THE GUYS FROM ZOOT ARE ALL DOING WELL ESPECIALLY RICK SPRINGFIELD AND DARRYL COTTON
THIS IS A MONO RECORDING FROM LONG AGO !

Hi Tom
ReplyDeleteAre you aware that this recording has NEVER been officially released? It was a 1967 demo for John B4 he did Sadie & the Zoot boys, also yet to record, acted as his backing band for the session in Adelaide. It's a great version & really shows John's huge vocal range, even at this early stage of his caeer. But the question is obvious. If he COULD sing like this already as a 17 yo, why on earth have him record Sadie as a debut single?
Cheers
Micko
